Terms and conditions

User Terms

These user terms constitute an agreement (the Agreement) between Hyre AB, company registration number: 559370-4645, as the service provider (Hyre), and you as the user of Hyre as the renter (User). The Agreement governs your rights and obligations as a user of Hyre’s products and services, which are further defined below under the section Hyre's Products and Services, as well as Hyre’s rights and obligations as the provider of products and services on the platform. Access to and use of Hyre’s products and services require that you, as a user, accept these terms and conditions. We encourage you to carefully read and familiarize yourself with the current terms and conditions applicable to Hyre, which also include the privacy policy and other conditions for Hyre.

The following terms apply in addition to the general membership terms.

About the Parties, Duties, and Responsibilities

Hyre offers services and products through the Hyre app with the goal of making it easier for businesses and individuals to rent cars. Hyre aims to be a safe and reliable marketplace offering car-sharing at a reasonable cost for the user.

Through the Hyre app, Hyre can either act as an intermediary for car rental services between Hyre and the renter, or directly enter into an agreement with the renter for the rental of a vehicle.

Hyre handles the conclusion of agreements, payment, damage control, and calculation of costs for products and services sold by Hyre. Any fees are also collected in Hyre's name.

The renter is the party that has made a binding reservation of a car through the Hyre app.

The renter is responsible for damages that occur during the rental period. Hyre’s cars are fully insured. In the event of damage, it is typically covered by the insurance, and the renter only pays Hyre’s cost for the deductible and handling of the damage. The renter is obligated to report any damages to Hyre as soon as possible and to provide the necessary information for the insurance process. Failure to provide the required information, which results in the insurance claim being unprocessed, will make the driver liable for the entire cost of the damage. If the damage is not covered by the insurance, the customer is liable to Hyre for the full cost as well as any additional expenses, such as loss of income.

Creating a user account with Hyre

By creating a profile with Hyre, you agree to provide accurate, up-to-date, truthful, and complete information as requested during registration. You also agree to maintain and update your contact information so that it is always correct and to continually inform Hyre of any circumstances that may be relevant to Hyre or otherwise for the fulfillment of the terms of the agreement, including but not limited to details regarding your driving license, traffic violations, accidents, and the condition of the vehicle. Failure to provide or maintain accurate, up-to-date, truthful, and complete information constitutes a material breach of the user terms and entitles Hyre to terminate your profile with immediate effect.

Hyre’s collection, storage, and processing of personal data in connection with the creation of a profile and the use of the services are handled in a separate privacy policy.

You may terminate your profile with Hyre at any time. The account is terminated immediately after you actively deregister. To close the account, send an email to hej@hyre.se. You can apply for a new account with Hyre at any time. However, you will not regain your previous user data and rights.

Hyre reserves the right to reject an application to create a profile without providing a reason for the decision.
